Wagtail Class 9/6/2025

What a wonderful week it has been here in Wagtail Class. We started the week by releasing our butterflies. This was so lovely and the children did it beautifully. In literacy we have looked at the story, 'The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch'. We made a story map to help us recall parts of the story. The children loved this story and showed a huge interest in the lighthouse. This prompted some wonderful paintings and drawings of lighthouses during exploring for learning time. We have also been celebrating our similarities and differences this week which has just been so wonderful. We looked at 'Eid', which marks the end of Ramadan. The children learnt about this joyous festival where Muslims celebrate the end of fasting. We also shared a lovely story about it. In topic,  the children had a go at drawing half of their faces to complete a self-portrait. These are on display in the classroom and have brought us so much joy. We have also even managed to squeeze in a birthday celebration this week.

Well done Wagtails on such a fabulous week. Have a wonderful weekend. From, Mrs Slade
