Wagtail Class 27/06/25

It has been a jam-packed week here in Wagtail class. We have squeezed in so much fun and learning. In maths, we have been strengthening our critical thinking skills by making boats from tin foil. We have then been predicting how many marbles the boats would hold before they sink. The children have also been considering whether the shape and size of their boat would change the outcome. Testing this thinking has been so much fun. We have also been working on our shape and doubles knowledge. In literacy, we have been practising to write dictated sentences and have done a wonderful job. We have finished our week with 'Crazy Hair Day' and a visit from 'Rocksteady'. This has been awesome, the Wagtails all looked amazing, thank you for your efforts and donations. The children absolutely loved rocking out during assembly and during their own music workshop. We have some class winners for 'crazy hair', well-done children. We have even celebrated a birthday. What a fabulous week, have a lovely weekend everyone. From Mrs Slade
