It has been another jam-packed week here in Wagtails, full of lots of fun and laughter. This week, we have been celebrating Harvest. We enjoyed our first Harvest assembly with Reverend Judith Swan. In literacy, we have been looking at the story 'The Little Red Hen'. The children have enjoyed painting, making puppets and sequencing the story. In maths, we have been sorting a variety of different objects according to their properties, the children have loved this. In RE, I introduced the children to our Christian School Values and we also continued to consolidate 'special people'. The children learnt a beautiful song and then drew the special people in their lives.
During our exploring for learning time, we looked at the story. 'The Scarecrows' Wedding'. The children then chose to make scarecrows using paper plates. Finally, the children took part in their first cross country school event and all did a fabulous job. Well, done on a fabulous week Wagtails, have a super weekend. From Mrs Slade
