It has been another fun week here in Wagtail Class. This week in literacy we have looked at the story, 'Kipper's Birthday'. The children have enjoyed; sequencing the story, attempting to write some CVC words and also loved balloon printing with paint.
In maths, we have looked at circles and triangles, the children have been experts in being able to recall and share some information about the properties of these two shapes. They also thoroughly enjoyed being shape detectives and going on a shape hunt around the school.
In Phonics, we have learnt our next set of sounds and more games have been allocated on phonics bug for home learning.
We are now preparing for Christmas in Wagtails, this is super exciting. I introduced the Christmas story to the children in RE today and this will now be our literacy focus over the next couple of weeks. We are all looking forward to learning more about this.
Please can all nativity clothes be brought into school in a named carrier bag by Monday 2nd December, thank you.
What a wonderful week we have all had. Well done superstars, have a great weekend. From, Mrs Slade.
