Dear Parents and Carers
You may be aware that further heavy rainfall is forecast for this evening and tomorrow, with a yellow weather warning for rain across most of Somerset between 11:00am and 10:00pm tomorrow (Thursday), with an expectation of spray and flooding on roads.
We are putting contingency plans into place for the impact of high rainfall tonight/tomorrow morning. It is hard to predict the impact on local road and possible road closures/inaccessibility to staff and parents but I feel that it is important to give you as much notice as possible with regard to school arrangements. Therefore, please be advised that it is very unlikely that the school will be open tomorrow, please can you make sure you have childcare arrangements in place for this eventuality. Should we not be subject to the extreme weather predicted we will open. We will inform you either way by 7:45am tomorrow morning via Facebook and email.
In the event that the school remains closed, the teachers will provide online learning for the children via eSchools. All children have logins to be able to access this learning. We will reschedule Thursday's Pipits & Wagtails Nativity performance, combining it with Friday’s at 2:15pm, so please bring your Thursday pale blue tickets along on Friday for entry.
