Wagtail Class 20/09/2024

We have had a fabulous week here in Wagtail class. The children have settled into their full school days beautifully and have blown me away with just how amazing they have been.

This week, we have started our topic 'All About Me'. The children have enjoyed sharing their sheets from home and have loved engaging in supporting activities. We have also been looking at our emotions. We read 'The Colour Monster' and introduced the concept of associating our feelings with colours, helping the children in learning to articulate their emotions. Following on from this, I introduced the class emotional check in where the children have their own lollipop stick and can let us know how they may be feeling throughout the school day. They have really loved doing this. We have also; had our very first PE lesson with the sports coach, started our phonics learning, attended assembly with the whole school, joined the rest of the school during playtimes and have continued to enjoy eating our lunches in the lunch hall.
