Goldfinch class have been absolutely amazing this week. They have been excellently behaved and worked really hard all week, especially when our special visitors were in. I cannot tell you how proud of them I was.

In English, we have been reading three different books all set in the wild - The Fox, The Tin Forest and The Whale song. We have been describing the characters, sequencing the stories, explaining which was our favourite and comparing the stories.
We have had our last week of doing multiplying and dividing, we have focussed on times by 5, divide by 5 and then practised all that we had learnt.
In science, we have started a new unit on Plants. We flashbacked to Year 1 work to recap what the parts of a plant were and what the job of these parts were.
We have started a new geography unit called Our Country. This week we had to describe the difference between the countryside and the town/city.
In music we have sang songs about water and in art; we practised mixing primary colours to make secondary colours. We then looked at the textures on natural objects and tried to recreate them with paint.
