Another lovely week in Goldfinch class.
In maths we have been learning about volume, capacity and temperature. We worked practically to estimate and measure water.
In English we have been studying alien poetry. We answered questions on a poem, had to memorise a verse of a poem, then we had to plan and write our own alien poem. They were great!
In Science, we have continued learning about plants. We looked at the results of our cress experiment and discovered that if a seed was not given water, it would not start to grow at all. We also learned about what was inside a seed. We each had a seed to dissect, to see the baby plant ready to grow and a food store.
We sang some number songs in music and have been busy practising Easter songs for our service next week.
In Computing we looked at why life was possible on Earth and designed our own planet that could have life.
In PSHE we thought about the pros and cons of spending or saving our money.
