Wagtail Class w/c 19/06/23

The Wagtails whizzed through another jam-packed week. In phonics, we have been working on incorporating phase 3 and phase 4 tricky words into our sentences. The children did a super job with this. In maths, we have been learning about sharing objects into two groups. The children enjoyed this; drawing upon their existing knowledge of number to support their reasoning skills. We have also practised counting accurately using the cubes and some children then chose to demonstrate their knowledge of doubles from last week, by writing some number sentences. In PE, we have been consolidating our jumping, spatial awareness and controls skills.
