Wagtail Class 01.03.2024

We have had another fabulous week here in Wagtail Class. This week, we have been looking at mini beasts and have focussed on the story, 'Norman the Slug with the Silly Shell'. The children have enjoyed making their very own snails using a variety of media. They have also enjoyed bug hunting on the school field.

In maths, we have learnt all about 'time'.

The children have learnt that we use the word 'time' to measure an event or activity. With this in mind, the children have used the stop watches to record how many times they can carry out an activity in 1-minute. They have loved this.

We have also been consolidating our learning on length and the children have enjoyed measuring everyday objects. Furthermore, in music/science we have been looking at different materials and the children enjoyed sorting 'metal' and 'non-metal' objects using the magnets.

Finally, we have; learnt the 'conga' and 'music man' dances in wake and shake, celebrated Mrs White's birthday and have even had a visit from a pet hamster. What a fun-filled week, well done Wagtails. Have a lovely weekend, from Mrs Slade
